In yesterday's post, I said this about Merck's Vioxx brand: "Merck and our doctors did not fully communicate the risks of Vioxx and withdrew the drug."
The problem may not have been with the doctors. A federal jury just found the company "knowingly misrepresented or failed to disclose" information to physicians.
"On its verdict sheet, the jury had the chance to assign percentages of fault to Merck and various physicians, but assigned blame to only Merck."
